Our college is run by Maharashtra Education Society, which was established in 1860. MES has its very strong presence in 7 districts of Maharashtra in school education as well as higher education. Presently around 50000 students are studying in different educational branches of MES.
MES Garware College of Commerce has been affiliated to Savitribai Phule Pune University. Being Autonomous College it has successfully introduced widespread and impact making academic reforms. Our aim is to produce competent ,ethical and socially sensible graduates and post graduates by imparting quality commerce and economics education. Our curriculum, pedagogy, evaluation and support system are designed and executed in tune with National Education Policy and universal sustainable goals. We constantly strive to enrich all our academic processes wherein active and wholehearted students participation is of paramount importance. Russia-Ukraine standoff, supply chain shocks from higher oil prices, gas and semi-conductor shortages point towards a globally sluggish growth and high inflation situation. Under the new paradigm, India becomes an important market. In all likelihood, India will be the fastest growing major economy at an estimated growth rate of 7.8%. In this context, it is obvious that there will be a great demand for well-rounded commerce graduates. Transition in digital push, energy sector, supply chain trajectory and talent space invariably demands urgent and industry oriented reforms in higher education in general and commerce education in particular.
Commerce and Economics Association, Business Laboratory, Entrepreneurship, Innovation and Start-up Cell, Dramatics and Cultural Association, Sports and Games, Internship, NSS,NCC, Youth Red Cross are the prominent avenues in the college, wherein the students develop inter-disciplinary approach and learn vital life skills. These activities contribute towards significant process of making students responsible citizens and good human beings.
Besides B.Com. B.B.A., B.B.A-IB, B.B.A-CA, M.Com. and Ph.D. program, we conduct value-added certificate and diploma programs such as Design and Innovation , Logistics and Supply Chain, Banking, Tally ERP-9, Advanced Excel, GST, Digital Marketing, UI & UX, Project Management, Yoga etc.
