The Soft Skills, Internship, & Placement (SIP) Cell at Garware College of Commerce aims to holistically prepare students for the competitive job market. By complementing academic learning with essential soft skills, real-world internship experiences, and comprehensive placement support, the SIP Cell strives to bridge the gap between education and industry requirements. Our goal is to cultivate well-rounded professionals who are confident, adaptable, and ready to succeed in their chosen careers.
Objectives
- Enhance Soft Skills: To develop essential communication, teamwork, leadership, and problem-solving abilities through tailored workshops, personality development programs, and mock interview sessions, ensuring students excel in both personal and professional spheres.
- Provide Internship Opportunities: To offer students hands-on learning experiences by establishing strong industry partnerships and providing mentorship, enabling them to apply theoretical knowledge in practical settings and gain valuable work experience.
- Facilitate Placement Assistance: To connect students with top recruiters through campus drives, offer personalized career counseling, and provide support in resume building, interview preparation, and job search, ensuring successful transitions from academia to professional careers.

- Training & Development: Focused on improving both soft skills like communication and leadership, as well as technical abilities, to prepare students for the workforce.
- Placement Assistance: The Placement Cell connects students with companies through recruitment drives and maintains relationships with employers.
- Pre-Placement Workshops: These sessions help students prepare for the recruitment process by enhancing resume writing, interview skills, and group discussion techniques.
- Placement Pool: GCC offers placement opportunities to students from other colleges, expanding access to its employer connections.
